This annual festival is the largest indoor agricultural event in America!
The Farm Show Complex houses 24 acres under one roof, spread throughout 11 buildings including three arenas. There is something for everyone, farmers and non-farmers. The Farm Show includes approximately 300 Commercial Exhibitors and includes over 13,000 Competitive Exhibits. Everything from draft horses, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits and poultry, to eggs, fruit, Christmas trees, apiary products, maple products, nuts, horticultural products, mushrooms, wine, vegetables and many other Pennsylvania products can be seen here. There's even a life-size Butter Sculpture on display in the Main Hall, which is a very unique attraction every year. It provides an atmosphere for everyone to walk through, observe and educate themselves about different areas of agriculture, the Commonwealth's largest industry, and what the industry provides to them. Traditionally families have come from all over the Northeast, from across the whole country and even from around the world to visit the Pennsylvania Farm Show as a family vacation.
One of the most popular attractions at the Pennsylvania Farm Show is the Food Court. Located in the Expo Hall and Main Hall of the Complex, the Food Court offers visitors a variety of Pennsylvania products including the famous Farm Show baked potatoes. The Food Court generates income to support the non-profit Pennsylvania Agricultural Commodity Organizations. Products for sale include baked potatoes, fresh cut French fries, potato donuts, honey waffles, beehive products, milk shakes, ice cream sundaes, pork barbeque sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, maple syrup products, deep-fried mushrooms, blooming onions, shoo-fly pie, whoopie pies, apple cider, apple dumplings with ice cream, bakery products, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, hot dogs and so much more! It's making me hungry just thinking about all the wonderful food!
