9:30 Arrive at Revolution Rail and enjoy RAILBIKING! The ride will be
approximately 10:00-11:30 am.

1:00 pm Depart and travel deep into the Adirondacks.

8:45 A LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at the hotel and join you for an immersion
into the Olympics. It is often said that Lake Placid is where "miracles are made."
9:00 Depart from the hotel
9:15 Arrive at the OLYMPIC JUMPING COMPLEX. When you arrive you
will board a GONDOLA for a 4-minute ride to the elevator at the ski jump.
10:15 Arrive at the LAKE PLACID WINTER OLYMPIC MUSEUM During your time here,
you will be able to witness some of the video from "Miracle on Ice,"
to walk through the Hall of Fame Hallway, and to explore the exhibits.
Your guide will wow you with stories of the Olympians, their wins,
their losses, and the type of equipment they used.
11:30 Depart to be dropped off in the city parking lot for lunch on your
own at one of the local eateries.
1:00 pm Depart Lake Placid and travel south to Ticonderoga, NY.
2:45 Step into history at FORT TICONDEROGA, a large 18th-Century fort built
by the French at a narrows near the south end of Lake Champlain.
Your visit includes 30-MINUTE INSTRUCTION led by a CONSTUMED GUIDE.

Enjoy beautiful views of the Adirondack Mountains and see stately homes along the water's edge.
11:15 Board the coach and travel to KINGSTON, NY.

Rise and shine for a HEARTY BREAKFAST BUFFET.
9:00 am Depart for a day steeped in history/ Travel south along the
HUDSON RIVER to the National Historic Site of the home,
museum and library of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
9:45 Arrive at the HENRY A. WALLACE VISITOR CENTER in HYDE PARK.
While here, enjoy a GUIDED TOUR OF THE GROUNDS of the FRANKLIN
D. ROOSEVELT MUSEUM and the VANDERBILT MANSION (all buildings are closed).
11:45 Depart Hyde Park
12:15 pm Arrive at the OLD ADRIANCE FARM, where lunch will be on your own.
Upon arrival, Stacy, the owner, will provide an overview of the property,
its history and current day use. You may start your visit with lunch on
your own at Scottie's Food Truck. The food is fabulous and the reasonable
prices range from $4-8. After lunch, you may want to walk into the brewery,
where you will receive a GLASS OF BEER. If time allows,
you may wish to visit their market as well.
2:00 Arrive at MILLBROOK VINEYARDS AND WINERY, "Hudson' Valley's flagship winery".
You will receive a sample of six of their award-winning wines while
listening to an educational presentation of the wines.
3:30 Arrive at the WALKWAY OVER THE HUDSTON STATE HISTORICAL PARK.
Two DOCENTS will join us for a walk.
5:30 Return to the hotel to freshen up for dinner.
6:30 Depart for dinner.
6:45 pm Enjoy DINNER at OLE SAVANNAH SOUTHERN TABLE & BAR,

10:30 Your first stop upon arrival is at the WAYNE COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM,
where you will enjoy a SELF-GUIDED VISIT. Upon conclusion, we will walk
down the street to the STOURBRIDGE RAILROAD COMPANY.
11:15 Meet to board the train
10:00-1:30 "TICKET TO RIDE" PICNIC LUNCH in the Dining Car includes a HEARTY,
MOBILE LUNCH. RIDE THE STOURBRIDGE RAIL as we travel through
the Northern Poconos. The engineer wlll share tales of the region's rich
history as you gaze out at the beautiful countryside along the Lackawaxen River Gorge.
