Monday, July 25: Wellsboro – Portland, ME

  • Depart from the Terminal for Portland, ME with available pickups: Mansfield, Lawrenceville, Corning, Elmira, Sayre
  • A FULL BREAKFAST is included at CRACKER BARREL in Binghamton, NY.
  • Lunch and meal breaks will be made en route
  • Arrive at the HYATT PLACE PORTLAND OLD PORT for a ONE-NIGHT STAY.
  • A WELCOME DINNER is included this evening at the hotel.

Tuesday, July 26: Bangor, ME – Saint John, New Brunswick

  • BREAKFAST is included this morning at your hotel.
  • Depart for Bangor, ME, where you will enjoy free time and lunch on your own.
  • Depart for the Canadian Province of New Brunswick. NOTE: Valid Passports or Pass Cards will be needed for this tour to Canada.
  • Meet your KILTED TOUR DIRECTOR, who will be with us for the next 6 days. Enjoy a GUIDED TOUR of the LOYALIST CITY including a stop at the REVERSING FALLS SKYWALK.
  • DINNER is included this evening at a local restaurant.

Wednesday, July 27: Fundy National Park – Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

  • BREAKFAST is included this morning at your hotel.
  • Depart for FUNDY NATIONAL PARK
  • Today, see one of the Maine Wonders of the World, an amazing region powered by the highest tides in the world. You will travel through FUNDY NATIONAL PARK to HOPEWELL ROCKS to see where the tides have gouged four-story flowerpot sculptures from the cliffs. At low tide, you can walk along the ocean floor and walk under arches created by the towering rock formations.
  • Depart for PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND and cross over the world-famous CONFEDERATION BRIDGE, the longest continuous multi-span bridge in the world. Here, you will enjoy a BRIEF TOUR OF CHARLOTTETOWN.
  • A traditional LOBSTER DINNER is included this evening at a local restaurant. This Maritime tradition includes tasty chowder or soup, delicious locally-cultivated mussels, salad, and homemade rolls accompany a one-pound lobster. If you still have room, treat yourself to a dazzling array of scrumptious desserts.
  • Check in to the RODD HOTEL for a ONE-NIGHT STAY.

Thursday, July 28: Prince Edward Island National Park – Baddeck, Northumberland Strait

  • BREAKFAST is included this morning.
  • Depart for “Anne’s Land” where you’ll visit GREEN GABLES, which became famous around the world as the inspiration for the setting in Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic tale of fiction “Anne of Green Gables.greengables
  • Depart for PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND NATIONAL PARK, renowned for its white sand beaches, red sandstone cliffs, and rolling dunes. Stop at one of the local beaches where you can dip your toes in the ocean if you wish.
  • Head for WOOD ISLANDS where you will cross the warmest waters north of the Carolinas – THE NORTHUMBERLAND STAIT- on a FERRY. Drive past Truro and the Antigonish to the Canso Causeway and cross into the “Scotland of North America,” CAPE BRETON.
  • Check in to THE SILVER DART LODGE for a TWO-NIGHT STAY.

Friday, July 29: Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site – Cheticamp – Cape Breton Highlands National Park

  • BREAKFAST is included this morning.
  • This morning, we will depart for the ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE, where you will discover his legacy from the humanitarian accomplishments to his gigantic kites, airplanes, and a boat that flew.
  • Depart for CHETICAMP, an Acadian community well known for its “hooked crafts” and Acadian Culture.
  • This afternoon, you will travel through CAPE BRETON HIGHLANDS NATIONAL PARK. A BOXED LUNCH will be included at a scenic beach picnic area.
  • Return to the SILVER DART LODGE for the evening where DINNER is included.

Saturday, July 30: Halifax, Nova Scotia

  • BREAKFAST is included at the hotel.
  • Depart for HALIFAX, NOVIA SCOTIA
  • You will be treated to a BRIEF TOUR of this historic port city that includes photo stop at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, a fortress perched on a hill overlooking the city and a stroll through the Halifax Public Gardens.
  • Check in to the HAMPTON INN  for a ONE-NIGHT STAY.
  • This evening, enjoy a ONE-HOUR TOUR of ALEXANDER KEITH'S BREWERY as it was in 1863 – actors in period costume and character will show you everything there is to know about Keith’s India Pale Ale, bringing the great Brew master himself alive in song and story. You will have an opportunity to sample the beer before relaxing over DINNER at a LOCAL PUB.

Sunday, July 31: Wolfville – Annapolis Valley – Digby, Novia Scotia – Saint John, New Brunswick

  • Depart from the hotelpeggyscove
  • BREAKFAST is included at a local restaurant in PEGGY’S COVE. This famous cove is a quaint fishing village where a graceful lighthouse sits atop the smooth wave-worn granite of the coast. The tiny harbor below the lighthouse is a masterpiece of seasoned fish sheds and colorful fishing boats, making it one of the most photographed places in Canada.
  • Travel across the province to the Wolfville area, where you will stop to pick up lunch on your own and enjoy in the peaceful setting.(weather permitting)
  • Next, you will travel through the beautiful Annapolis Valley, the fertile agricultural region dotted with farms and orchards, to the port of Digby, Nova Scotia, the scallop fishing capital of the world.
  • Arrive at the Digby dock to sail aboard the FUNDY ROSE FERRY to Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a 2 hour and 15-minute cruise. Dinner will be on your own on board the Fundy Rose. 
  • Check in to the DELTA  HOTEL for a ONE-NIGHT STAY.

Monday, August 1: Calais, ME – Mt. Desert Island

  • BREAKFAST at hotel, say farewell to your kilted tour director.
  • Make your way back across the border to Calais, Maine. You will travel to Maine’s rocky coast to visit the International Island of Campobello, where FDR vacationed with his family.
  • Go back in history and tour the 34-room "cottage" occupied 1905-1921 by the Franklin D. Roosevelt family. A 15-minute film telling the story of Roosevelt's "beloved island" is shown at the visitor center. A BOXED LUNCH is included
  • Travel south through “downeast Maine” to Bar Harbor
  • Cross the causeway to MT DESERT ISLAND.
  • This evening you will enjoy an included LOBSTERBAKE DINNER in a casual setting overlooking Hulls Cove, near Bar Harbor. Your meal will be steamed in a large cooker where you can watch and ask questions about lobster fishing and lobster cooking. Bring your appetite and camera when the cover is lifted to reveal a colorful blend of lobsters, clams, potato, and corn-on-the-cob amidst a cloud of steam. Grilled steak and baked haddock dinner options are also offered.
  • Check into the BAR HARBOR REGENCY for a ONE-NIGHT STAY.

Tuesday, August 2: Bar Harbor, ME – Acadia National Park – Freeport, ME

  • Enjoy BREAKFAST at the hotel before you meet your LOCAL GUIDE for a MORNING TOUR of BAR HARBOR and ACADIA NATIONAL PARK. Bar Harbor has been celebrated for its breathtaking beauty ever since the island was discovered in 1604 by Samuel de Champlain, who named it "Isle de Monts Desert" (Mt. Desert Island) for its bare, desert-like mountaintops. In the first national park founded east of the Mississippi, you will see 9 mountains over 1,000 feet high, stone bridges, lakes, ponds, trails and carriage roads.  You will travel the entire Park Loop road with stops at Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole on Ocean Drive and Sieur De Mont Springs Wild Gardens of Acadia, plus learn about the rich and famous visitors who built summer cottages in Bar Harbor.
  • Enjoy lunch and free time on your own in Bar Harbor.
  • Continue south to Freeport, home to L.L. BEAN flagship store and a myriad of outlet shops and shops unique to Maine. Check in to the HILTON GARDEN INN for one night. Hotel is just 2 blocks from L. L. Bean.
  • DINNER is included this evening at a local favorite.

Wednesday, August 3: Freeport, ME – Wellsboro, PA

  • BREAKFAST is included at the hotel before departure.
  • Before departing, enjoy some FREE TIME to explore the outlet shops and village before departing for home.
  • Lunch and meal breaks will be made en route.
  • Return home with wonderful memories of your Maine & Maritime National Parks Tour!
