Arrive in Wilkes-Barre for an early dinner break Arrive at the Wachovia Center TOP-PRICE RESERVED SEATS to see DANIEL O'DONNELL and MARY DUFF (Section 116, Rows A-K.) Depart upon conclusion of the show Approximate return |
Popular Irish singer DANIEL O'DONNELL makes an appearance at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza on Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. The entertainer has enjoyed worldwide success in recent years with his unique blend of country music, 60's pop, inspirational ballads & Irish standards. Featured on seven nationally televised PBS specials in the U.S. (including 2007's Daniel O'Donnell Can You Feel the Love), O'Donnell's live show is especially popular. It's not uncommon for O'Donnell's concerts to sell out within minutes of going on sale.
"The fans are
an integral part of the experience of my live show, and I think they keep
coming back primarily due to their love for the music I bring them," O'Donnell
says. "I make the show fun by having conversations and talking to them
on-stage, even joking around like old friends. I stay after every performance
to meet everyone I can, and people know I'm very approachable. Those who
have seen me perform multiple times know that variety and spontaneity is
a key part of the show, too. My goal every time I step onstage is to make
sure the audience leaves entertained," O'Donnell says. "I want to make
people feel relaxed and at home with me, and for a few hours anyway, create
an atmosphere that helps them leave their worries behind."
MARY DUFF: Mary Duff's phenomenal talent as a singer, together with the great stage presence and charisma she possesses, is testimony of her quietly powerful and captivating persona. There is a genuine warmth about this lady that touches all who come in contact with her, and she enjoys a dedicated, very supportive fan following.
Mary has numerous
music awards to her name, including "Best Female Vocalist" from the British
Country Music Awards and "Best Female Solo Artist" from the Annual Irish
World Awards. As well as the many music awards, in 1990, Mary was also
named "Meath Person of the Year." a much-prized accolade received from
her home country.

It's a great big Broadway show with a killer twist! Songwriters KANDER & EBB, the creators of such legendary blockbusters as CHICAGO and CABARET, bring you a celebration of the razzle-dazzle, mystique and fascinating characters of the theatre. Don't miss this backstage murder mystery musical comedy.
CURTAINS unfolds backstage at Boston's Colonial Theatre in 1959, where a new musical could be a Broadway smash, where it not for the presence of its talent-free leading lady. When the hapless star dies on opening night during her curtain call, Lieutenant Frank Cioffi (David Hyde Pierce) arrives on the scene to conduct an investigation. But the lure of the theatre proves irresistible and after an unexpected romance blooms for the stage-struck detective, he finds himself just as drawn toward making the show a hit, as he is in solving the murder.
Will the killer
be found before more bodies start piling up? And, more importantly, will
anyone figure out how to fix the second act?

BILL COSBY has been making America laugh for decades with his keen insight of us as human beings. Over the past century, few entertainers have achieved the legendary status of Bill Cosby. His success spans five decades and virtually all media, remarkable accomplishments for a kid who emerged from humble beginnings in a Philly project.
In the 1960s,
his stand-up act was a coast-to-coast sensation, spawning a string of hilarious,
best-selling comedy albums, which went on to win eight Gold Records, five
Platinum records and five Grammy Awards. His role on TV’s “I Spy” made
him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series, breaking
television’s racial barrier and winning three Emmy Awards. In the
1980s, he rocked the television world again with “The Cosby Show,” a gentle,
whimsical and hugely successful series that single-handedly revived the

TOBY KEITH: After
working in the oil fields of Oklahoma and playing professionally for the
United States Football League, Toby Keith went into the music business
in the mid-1980s. After a few years as part of a successful nightclub act,
he set out for Nashville in 1988. His 1993 eponymous debut album spawned
several hit songs, including the number one single Should've Been a
Cowboy, and Keith was a star and frequent sight on Country Music Television.
Hailed as a "traditionalist" in the genre, he followed up with enough hit
songs to release a compilation of greatest hits just five years after his
debut. His albums include Blue Moon (1996), How Do You Like Me Now (1999),
Pull My Chain (2002) and Unleashed (2002). His hit singles include A
Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action and Courtesy of the Red,
White and Blue (The Angry American), a fiery anthem he wrote in response
to the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C.
